Pat Campbell retiring as President and CEO of Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital

(Friday, January 26, 2018  - Orillia, ON) – Dan Germain, Chair of the Board of Directors of Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital (OSMH) announced today the retirement of Pat Campbell from the position of President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the hospital effective June 30, 2018.

 

“Path as enjoyed a long and distinguished career in healthcare organizations across North America, in both clinical and leadership positions,” said Germain.  

 

“She has provided outstanding leadership to our hospital since she began in July 2014, ushering in an electronic medical record, establishing the Integrated Medical and Rehab Services unit and laying the groundwork for what OSMH will become through our Future Hospital project.”

 

Prior to joining OSMH, Campbell served as President and CEO of the Ontario Hospital Association; CEO at Women’s College Hospital in Toronto; CEO at ECHO, the agency committed to improving women’s health in Ontario; and President and CEO at Grey Bruce Health Services, a 6-site hospital organization headquartered in Owen Sound, Ontario. 

 

“I’ve been fortunate to have worked for some great healthcare organizations during my career, and it’s been an absolute pleasure to work alongside the people of Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital,” said Campbell.  “The staff and physicians here have a genuine compassion for their patients to ensure the best possible care.”

 

“I’m very thankful to the communities we serve, in Orillia and beyond, for their trust and ongoing support of our hospital and I’m particularly proud of the work we’ve done to strengthen our partnerships with community healthcare providers to ensure patients are getting the right care in the right place.”         

 

“There is a real sense of community and family at OSMH and I’m proud of what we’ve been able to accomplish during my time here.The hospital is well positioned for future success.”

 

Campbell will remain on as President and CEO until the hospital’s Annual General Meeting in June. Recruitment for her successor is now underway.
