The brand new Outpatient Clinic is located on Mississaga Street, with a convenient drop off and parking ($5) across the street. We are open Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Our team of RNs and RPNs work with Surgeons, Internists, Anesthetists and General Practitioners and all procedures are performed with sterile technique.

 

All appointments are pre-booked by your specialist or your family physician. Our clerk will ask for your health card and photo identification (if your health card does not have your picture) and verify that your address, phone number, etc. are all up to date.

 

The Clinics available at OSMH are:

• Blood Transfusion Clinic:  For patients requiring transfusions of blood products or a phlebotomy.
• Orthopedic Clinics: We offer two clinics, one for paediatric patients (Monday mornings) and one for adults (Tuesday afternoons). Patients come here to have their fractures assessed, or casted, casts removed or total joints evaluated.
• AIC Clinic:  The Arthroplasty Intake Clinic was a provincial initiative to decrease wait times for total joint replacements.
• Ophthalmology Clinic: Consists of laser treatment or fluoroscein angiography. As well as small procedures and treatment for Macular Degeneration.
• ENT Clinic:  Ear, Nose and Throat for small procedures not requiring the Operating Room.
• Plastics Clinics:  Small procedures also not requiring the Operating room.
• General Medicine:  Bone Marrow, Paracentesis or Thoracentesis procedures.
• General Surgery:  Small surgical procedures for lumps and bumps
• Urology:  Urological procedures
• Pain Management:  Injections for chronic pain.
• Gynecology:  Leeps and other general gynecology procedures not requiring the OR.
• Pre-operative Anaesthetic Consults: Anesthetists assess patients’ pre operatively for their surgery in the Operating Room.
• Thoracic Clinic:  This is a follow-up clinic for post thoracic surgery patients.
