The recently renovated Diagnostic Imaging Department is proud to offer a full range of diagnostic procedures to Orillia and the surrounding area.
We are focused on providing high quality service in a safe patient environment. Any concerns you may have about your exam you are encouraged to ask.
The recent addition of a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) machine, only the second in all of North Simcoe Muskoka, has significantly reduced wait times in our area and allowed our patients to receive quicker diagnosis.
OSMH has also invested in and installed a Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) that has eliminated film, with the exception of mammography. Patient images are now stored electronically and viewed on computer. This process has reduced report turnaround times, increased availability of your studies to your doctor, made it easier for you to take your studies to medical consultations, saved space and made our department more environmentally friendly. The PACS system at OSMH is shared with Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare and North Simcoe Hospital Alliance.
