Long Service Awards honour 1,340 years of service

5/21/2009 12:00:00 AM

(Thursday, May 21, 2009 - Orillia, ON)  –  Fifty-six employees who’ve together provided more than 1,300 years of service to Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital (OSMH) were honoured May 20 at the Hospital’s annual Long Service Awards at Hawk Ridge Golf and Country Club.

Every year, OSMH celebrates staff members who have reached long-service milestones of 20, 25, 30 and 35 years. The annual long-service event is an opportunity for peers, colleagues and their families to formally recognize the many years of dedicated service these individuals have given to the Hospital.

“At OSMH it is the people, from front-line staff to support workers, who go above and beyond to ensure we provide the highest quality care to our patients and their families that make a difference,” said Elisabeth Riley, OSMH President and CEO. “We are privileged to recognize these individuals for their commitment and loyalty to our organization.”

Among the 56 recipients were two employees who have reached 35-years service: Rosa Borelli, Communications Support Supervisor, and Carol Montgomery, a Technician in the hospital’s Health Records department. A complete list of the 56 employees is below.
