6/25/2009 12:00:00 AM

(Thursday, June 25, 2009 - Orillia, ON)  – Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital (OSMH) is pleased to announce the winners of the inaugural 2009 Board Award of Excellence. The award is designed to recognize and honour the outstanding contributions of staff, credentialed staff, and teams within our organization.

The peer-nominated award gives staff, physicians, and volunteers at OSMH the opportunity to nominate an individual or team who went that extra mile and exemplified our values of integrity, caring, respect, participation and accountability.

“We were delighted to have 16 nominations in the first year that the awards program was introduced,” says Elisabeth Riley, President and CEO. “All the nominations were thoughtfully prepared and everyone nominated should be proud that their colleagues felt strongly enough about the work they do to nominate them for the honour.”

While the ten (10) recipients of this years Board Award of Excellence may work in different areas across the organization, it is their spirit and commitment to healthcare and the community that they share.
