Roger Lippert and Gregory Gee elected to OSMH Board of Directors

(Wednesday, June 24, 2009 – Orillia, ON) –   Members of the Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital (OSMH) Corporation elected two new individuals and re-elected two others at their Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Tuesday.  Roger Lippert and Gregory Gee are the newcomers.  Lippert brings 25 years of experience in consulting, engineering and project and construction management while Gee is a retired lawyer who is the former President/CEO of Tarion Warranty Corporation.

They were among eight candidates seeking four vacancies.  The two other spots went to incumbents Bob Middaugh and Carol Nass, whose terms had expired at the AGM and were seeking re-election.  Rob Mauro and Nora Sawyer had each completed their terms on the Board and chosen to step down.

After the AGM, the Board met briefly to elect its Executive which now includes Middaugh returning as Chair; John Cameron moving into the role of Vice-Chair; with Paul Leskew taking on the duties of Treasurer.     

Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital (OSMH) is a 230-bed hospital located in Orillia, Ontario (just 114 kilometres north of Toronto) that serves more than 440,000 residents in North Simcoe Muskoka. OSMH provides a comprehensive range of programs and services, including medical, surgical and emergency care, dialysis, obstetrical and paediatric care, oncology, complex continuing care, mental health and rehabilitation services.
