What is the  Campaign?

The iGive Campaign is a Family Giving Campaign that allows employees, credentialed staff and volunteers at OSMH to support the Hospital’s mission and patients through personal financial contribution.

 

I already give so much to OSMH, why should I contribute?

Each day you give back to OSMH and the community through your dedicated service and by delivering exceptional healthcare. Choosing to make a voluntary philanthropic contribution is another way to make a further impact in the lives of your patients and families. By supporting the iGive Campaign you will provide ongoing financial support to OSMH that helps fund equipment and technology purchases (such as the EMR), education and bursaries, and renovations to our space. Your gift will support you and your colleagues and provide you with the best tools and facilities essential to providing exceptional care.

 

Is the participation in the iGive Campaign mandatory?

No. Financial contributions are completely voluntary.

 

How do I make a donation?

There are many ways to donate:

  1. You can download a Pledge Form here.
  2. Pick up a pledge form in HR or at the Foundation Office. Please return the completed form to the Foundation via interoffice mail, or drop it off at the Volunteer Desk or the OSMH Foundation office.

How much should I give?

We understand that individual circumstances vary and hope that you will consider a gift that is right for you. All gifts, of any amount, are greatly needed and genuinely appreciated.

What are my payment options?

Most OSMH employees will find payroll deduction the easiest and most convenient option for contributing to the iGive Campaign. Alternatively, you can use a personal cheque, credit card, or cash. The payments can be made bi-weekly, monthly or yearly.

 

Can I choose where I want to designate my donation?

Yes, you can choose to designate your support. There are a number of areas where you can choose to direct your donation, including:

  • Area of Greatest Need
  • Education
  • Surgical Equipment
  • Equipment & Technology
  • Other Area or Program as requested

Will I receive a tax receipt for my donation?

Yes, the OSMH Foundation receipts all donations received.

 

What is the goal for the iGive Campaign?

The goal of the campaign is to have 100% participation from employees, credentialed staff and volunteers at OSMH. Your gift, at whatever level you are comfortable giving, is greatly appreciated and makes a meaningful impact. We hope you will join with your fellow colleagues to participate in this important campaign.

 

Is there a deadline for making my gift?

Gifts can be made at any time throughout the year, but the iGive Campaign officially runs from November 14 to November 18, 2016. To be eligible for a prize, you must donate or turn in your completed donation form by November 18, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. The prize winners will be announced on November 18, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. in the Cafeteria.

 

What prizes are available?

There will be daily prize draws from Monday, November 13 to Friday, November 17, 2017 for anyone who participates in the launch week activities.

 

There will also be a Grand Prize draw for a $1,000 Via Rail Voucher held on Friday November 17, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. in the Cafeteria.

 

How will my donation be recognized?

OSMH exists solely because of the generosity of individuals, businesses and organizations, in and around Orillia. The Foundation takes this support very seriously and thanks each and every person who has supported the hospital.

 

We celebrate all gifts, according to your contribution level and personal wishes. We recognize and appreciate our friends annually through:

 

The Donor Wall of Honour

The Wall of Honour is situated in the main hallway across from the chapel. All donors who have cumulatively donated $5,000 or more are placed on the wall. As a donor's giving increases over time, their category is moved further up the donor wall.

 

All recognition is cumulative over the lifetime of the donor.

Naming Opportunities

Those who made a significant donation to the Foundation may be honoured through the dedication of space in the new and existing parts of the hospital. Naming Opportunities are integral to recognizing donors whose generosity has been exceptional, and should therefore reflect the spirit of the gift and honour the donor in permanent and relevant manner.

 

Can I make an anonymous donation?

Yes, please specify on your donation form that you want your gift to be listed anonymously. We would still like to have your contact information so we can thank you properly, but your name will not be shared publicly.
