For family physician candidates, opportunities are available in two comprehensive family medicine practices – the Orillia Family Health Network (FHN) and the Couchiching Family Health Team (FHT). The FHN and the FHT offer furnished office space with full secretarial and administrative support and excellent patient population for new physicians. Practice options include community practice, work alone or combined with in-hospital activities such as emergency, obstetrics, hospitalist, and surgical assisting. There may also be locum opportunities available in Family Medicine.

 

Our weekly Continuing Healthcare Education (CHE) program offers MAINPRO credits.

Medical Trainees

Through the Rural Ontario Medical Program we provide core and elective rotations with one-on-one learning situations with physician preceptors for medical students, clinical clerks and residents from Ontario’s medical universities. We also provide learner placements for midwifery students.
