Diabetes Education Centre

The Adult Program at the Diabetes Education Centre (ADEC) provides education for the prevention and management of diabetes. We offer a multidisciplinary approach to diabetes education.

Our diabetes educators are registered nurses and dietitians, and include certified diabetes educators and certified pump trainers. Extended team members include: physician specialist, community family physician, chiropodist, and pharmacist. They are supported by clerical staff and volunteers.

At the ADEC we are committed to providing quality education for the prevention and management of diabetes. The program is based on the Diabetes Canada’s Clinical Practice Guidelines for the Prevention and Management of Diabetes in Canada.
