Board Information & Applications
Apply to the Board
Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital (OSMH) is a vibrant, non-profit community hospital serving patients across North Simcoe, Muskoka and beyond. With the introduction and development of the Ontario Health Team model, OSMH is excited and eager to build upon our collaborative partnerships to advance the transformation of health care in the communities we serve.
We are currently seeking candidates who are interested in adding their dynamic leadership qualities to our volunteer Board of Directors. The Board plays a critical role in the leadership and governance of OSMH and is a reflection of the communities we serve.
We encourage applicants with a broad range of backgrounds and skills to apply for consideration. Previous Board experience is highly valued, as is the ability to work collaboratively with community stakeholders and other Boards. A passion for health care and a commitment to the role of governance is essential.
A time commitment of approximately 15 to 20 hours per month is expected. In addition, all applicants must be a member of the Corporation in good standing, or be eligible for membership; be 18 years of age or older, support the mission, vision and values of the hospital; and meet the qualifications stipulated in Section 11, Part C, of the OSMH by- laws. (included in the Board Application Form)
The Board Application Form is available below. Completed applications should be directed to the office of the CEO or emailed to ceo@osmh.on.ca with the subject line, Board Candidate Application.
A paper copy of the Board Application Kit can also be requested by emailing ceo@osmh.on.ca
