COVID-19 outbreak declared on Integrated Medicine and Rehab Service Unit
(Orillia, ON) – Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital (OSMH), in consultation with the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit, (SMDHU), has confirmed today a COVID-19 outbreak on its Integrated Medicine and Rehab Service Unit 1 (IMRS 1) impacting a total of 7 hospital inpatients.
Enhanced testing of all other patients and staff on the unit is now underway with isolation and outbreak management protocols in place.
The IMRS unit will remain closed to visitors, while the remainder of hospital visiting is being managed under the Essential Visitor policy.
