Hospital parking rates increasing for first time in more than a decade

New, discounted multi-day passes to be introduced

(Orillia, ON) – After holding parking rates steady for the past 13 years, Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital (OSMH) will adjust parking fees effective Monday, August 31, 2026.

The daily maximum rate will increase from $10 to $12.50, marking the first change to public parking rates since 2013.

In addition to the daily maximum rate, adjustments will also be made to the 30-minute rate and fees for weekly and monthly passes. To provide greater flexibility and affordability for patients, families, and visitors who require parking over multiple days, OSMH will be introducing new discounted 5-day, 10-day, and 30-day parking passes. The updated rates were developed with valuable input from the OSMH Patient and Family Advisory Council (PFAC), helping to ensure the new fee structure remains fair, flexible, and comparable to those at other hospitals across the region.

The rate changes also support ongoing investments in hospital parking infrastructure. Earlier this summer, OSMH completed a major resurfacing of its main public parking lot and continues to invest in increasing parking capacity for both visitors and hospital team members. Parking rate adjustments for OSMH staff were implemented earlier this year as part of these efforts.
