COVID-19 outbreak declared on OSMH medical unit
(February 23, 2022 – Orillia, ON) – Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital (OSMH), in consultation with the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit, (SMDHU), has confirmed today a COVID-19 outbreak on its Soldiers’ One medical unit, impacting a total of 3 hospital inpatients.
Enhanced testing of all other patients and staff on the unit is now underway with isolation and outbreak management protocols in place.
The Soldiers’ One unit will remain closed to visiting, while the remainder of hospital visiting is being managed under the Essential Visitor policy.
