COVID-19 outbreaks declared on Mental Health Services In-Patient and Integrated Medicine and Rehab Service – 1 Units
(Orillia, ON) – Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital (OSMH), in consultation with the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit, (SMDHU), has confirmed today COVID-19 outbreaks on both its Integrated Medicine and Rehab Services (IMRS) Unit 1 and its Mental Health Services In-Patient Unit.
A total of 8 patients have been impacted.
Enhanced testing of all other patients and staff on the units is now underway with isolation and outbreak management protocols in place.
The IMRS 1 and Mental Health Services In-patient units will remain closed to visitors, while the remainder of hospital visiting is being managed under the Visitor policy.
