Joint Media Release
(Orillia, ON) The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 34 and Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital (OSMH) are pleased to report an agreement has been reached with the proposed nomination from the Legion of Ian Gordon to fill the existing vacancy on the OSMH Board.
This comes after ongoing discussions between OSMH Board Chair Lawre Pietras and Legion President Rick Purcell. “This would be a good outcome for both OSMH and the Legion, to ensure the long-standing relationship is maintained,” said Purcell.
“Ian has been a strong supporter and volunteer of the hospital, and would be a great addition, enhancing the OSMH Board with a strong community voice,” said Terri McKinnon, Chair, OSMH Nominating Committee.
This OSMH Board appointment has been approved by the Nominating Committee for recommendation to the OSMH Board at their upcoming meeting.
