Nominations now open for the OSMH Nightingale Nursing Award
Community members invited to submit nominations
(Orillia, ON) – Has a nurse at Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital (OSMH) gone above and beyond in providing care to you or your loved one? Here’s an opportunity to express your appreciation by nominating them for the annual Nightingale Nursing Award.

Attention: Community Relations
For each nomination be sure to include:
- First and last name of the nurse being nominated.
- The department in the hospital where the nurse provides care.
- Your name, daytime telephone number and relationship to the nurse (Note: nurses can’t be nominated by a member of their family).
- Include your personal experience as a patient or family/essential care giver (between 100-500 words) explaining why this nurse deserves to be recognized.
Nominations are due by Wednesday April 16, 2025. Winner will be announced during Nursing Week May 12-18, 2025.
