Orillia Couple welcomes first baby of 2023 in the Sunshine City
(Orillia, ON) The first baby of the New Year born at Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital (OSMH) arrived 4:54 am January 1st.
Nora Belle Ruth Beach is the 1st child of Rebecca and David Beach and weighed 7 lbs., 9 ozs.
She was due to arrive on Monday January 2nd but decided January 1st would be a better birthday,
New mom, Rebecca would like to extend her thanks to all of the OSMH Obstetrics staff for their care and assisting in the safe delivery of baby Nora.
Nora’s arrival is welcomed by proud grandparents Keith and Louise Beach and George and Doris Cooper.
Mother and daughter are resting comfortably.
The growth of our community continues to be reflected in the number of births at OSMH, with more than 1,100 annually.
