COVID-19 outbreaks over at OSMH
(Orillia, ON) – Two COVID-19 outbreaks on separate patient care units at Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital (OSMH) have each been declared over.
The Integrated Medicine & Rehab Service Unit 1, (IMRS-1) was brought out of outbreak status yesterday morning (December 4, 2022). It was originally declared on November 21, 2022 and resulted in 11 patients and 1 staff testing positive for COVID-19.
The Mental Health Services In-Patient Unit (C6) went into outbreak on November 19, 2022, resulting in 5 patients and 2 staff testing positive. The outbreak on C6 was declared over on November 30, 2022.
Both units are now open to admissions and visitors as per the current Visitor Policy.
