OSMH Board appoints Tom Roberts Interim President & CEO effective April 3rd
The Board of Directors of Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital (OSMH) has approved the appointment of Tom Roberts to the position of Interim President and CEO, effective April 3, 2026. The date coincides with the April 2nd departure of current President and CEO, Carmine Stumpo, who announced in December that he had accepted the top leadership role at Mackenzie Health.
“Tom is a trusted and experienced healthcare leader with a thorough understanding of our hospital,” said Lawrence Pietras, OSMH Board Chair.
“He is highly respected by his colleagues and today’s appointment will enable a strong and stable leadership presence during this transition.”
Roberts, who joined OSMH in June 2019, holds the position of Executive Vice President – Corporate Services and Chief Financial Officer. In addition to financial leadership, his diverse portfolio includes oversight of IT and data systems, clinical support services, strategic planning and facilities. Roberts also plays a key leadership role in ongoing planning to build a new hospital in Orillia.
“It’s a privilege to serve Soldiers’ in this role and I’m grateful to the Board for this opportunity and their confidence,” said Roberts.
