Sponsored by the Nursing Alumnae, the prestigious Nightingale Award is presented annually to an OSMH nurse who is recognized for going above and beyond in the work they do in caring for patients. The Award, named in honour of nursing pioneer Florence Nightingale, is presented during national Nursing Week celebrations which this year runs from May 9 – 15, 2022.
All nominations come from the community, generally from patients or their family members who have had first-hand experience with the Nurse they are nominating and can provide a brief overview stating why they believe their nominee is worthy of this honour.
Simply click the link below to submit your nomination. To be eligible, all submissions must be received by April 20, 2022 at 4:oo pm. Alternatively, nominations can also be sent directly to the hospital, 170 Colborne St. W, Orillia, ON, L3V 2Z3, Attention: Community Relations, or emailed to info@osmh.on.ca
